Hey you, out there in the cold
Getting lonely, getting old
Can you feel me?
Hey you, standing in the aisles
With itchy feet and fading smiles
Can you feel me?
Hey you, dont help them to bury the light
Don't give in without a fight.

Hey you, out there on your own
Sitting naked by the phone
Would you touch me?
Hey you, with you ear against the wall
Waiting for someone to call out
Would you touch me?
Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone?
Open your heart, I'm coming home.

But it was only fantasy.
The wall was too high,
As you can see.
No matter how he tried,
He could not break free.
And the worms ate into his brain.

Hey you, standing in the road
always doing what you're told,
Can you help me?
Hey you, out there beyond the wall,
Breaking bottles in the hall,
Can you help me?
Hey you, don't tell me there's no hope at all
Together we stand, divided we fall.

Release Your Inner Child
As children, it is much easier to appreciate things for simply being what they are. We have yet to step into the fog that society allows to form around us; our perceptions are untainted. We are more in touch with the source from which we came, the source that still blazes brightly within us. Over time, as we grow older, we become distracted, our attention is diverted and we forget how to make contact with this inner fire.
“To speak truly, few adult persons can see nature.  Most persons do not see the sun.  At least they have a very superficial seeing.  The sun illuminates only the eye of the man, but shines into the eye and heart of the child.  The lover of nature is he whose inward and outward senses are still truly adjusted to each other; who has retained the spirit of infancy even into the era of manhood.”  ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
It is important to keep in touch with that part of yourself, your innermost being, the being inside you that is most closely interwoven with the fabric of nature, the existence of everything.
That child that once was you, that young, free, wild soul.. it is still within you my friend. (: Do not be afraid to get lost in it, again.
